Dura-Life bag filters are manufactured using a unique hydroentanglement process that blends fibers with water. This process produces a material with smaller pores, improved surface loading, and enhanced cleaning performance. These advantages allow the bags to operate twice as long before replacement due to high pressure drop. The extended life of Dura-Life bag filters reduces maintenance and operating costs, taking the baghouse dust collection system to an entirely new level.

The Donaldson Torit® Dalamatic® dust collector series (Housing and Retrofit) both come standard with envelope-style bags and cages, but the similarity ends there.
The Housing Type Dalamatic (DLMC) is a standalone dust collector with support legs and a hopper. The inlet is positioned at the top of the collector to direct dusty air into the hopper. This downward airflow enables more efficient cleaning of dust from the bags, preventing dust from re-adhering to the bags. This feature makes the DLMC a popular choice for light and fluffy dust applications.
In contrast, the Retrofit Dalamatic (DLMV) does not have legs or a hopper. The DLMV is typically used in applications mounted on top of bins or silos. In these applications, the bags are generally positioned at the top of the bin. As the bin or silo fills, dusty air is filtered by the DLMV, and clean air exits the collector. When a dust layer forms on the outside of the bags, compressed air inflates the bags, dislodging the dust layer so the material returns to the bin or silo, preventing any material waste.

Operating Baghouse Operations
The modular baghouse collector comes in two models: MBT provides top access to the collector’s bags (clean air side) within walking distance. This design is ideal for enclosed areas or tight budget applications. MBW offers a walk-in area where bags can be replaced in any weather conditions.
The modular baghouse inlet is designed with computer airflow analysis and optimized for maximum performance. When dusty air enters the inlet, it strikes a deflector plate at the end of the inlet, causing heavier particles to fall directly into the hopper. This design reduces the amount of dust contacting the bags, minimizing bag wear and pressure drop, thereby extending bag life.
Bin Discharge for Heavy Dust Loading
For heavy dust loading applications, the MB offers an easy-to-use Bin Discharge option. This option provides a 1.5 or 2.3 cubic meter / two or three cubic yard auxiliary, self-dumping bin that can be moved with a forklift. The bin has a lid that seals the system without the need for a rotary valve. The lid opens with a mechanical lifter and is included in the package.
