A more economical filtration is only achievable by reducing the differential pressure created by the filter. A reduction of just 200 mbar in differential pressure enables a compressor operating 8,000 hours annually to save approximately EUR 1,500 in electricity costs. (Assuming operating conditions of 7 bar working pressure, a 120 kW screw compressor, and an electricity unit price of EUR 0.08/kWh). As illustrated by this example, the payback period for the filter investment is less than one year.

Using the correct material is also essential for economical filtration. Depending on various applications and the desired air quality, it may be necessary to use one or more of six different types of filter elements. While doing this, it is important to keep the differential pressure to a minimum. The required coarse pre-filter, micro, fine, and activated carbon filter elements are utilized for efficient purification. All filters can be used either as oil-water separators (element flow direction from inside to outside) or as particle filters (flow direction from outside to inside). For this purpose, it is sufficient to reposition the red clip located on the housing without needing to rotate the top part. A coalescing filter can become a particulate filter or vice versa within seconds. Wall mounting brackets are offered as an option, and by rotating the filter head direction, differential pressure can be observed from either side. Thanks to connection adapters, two or more filters can be connected in series, saving space in tight installation areas.
